Reading and writing

Not much of writing, doodles and circles and lines ... colouring, but def a left handed.

A lot of words, understand both eng and ch for most words. Could identify shapes and sort them - circles, sq, rect, triangle, incredible. Counting nos too, she first learnt 10, then i hear her saying 4, and 2. Perhaps we count in sequence alot, she got the hand of it.

Nathan is her big teacher too, reading to her, making her repeat words after him, and simply by making meaningful sounds at home during play, reading and writing time, she learns by observation. And she knows when mommy gets angry with nathan during lesson, she'd better behave too, and she usually does.

She's a cutie, and everyone around is saying that she's the smart one... we'll see.

20 mths old

I can't believe the last time I wrote was in 2009!! How time flies .. the entire 2010 flew away unnoticed, and i hadn't visited the blog! And my girl is already 20mths old.

She's a cutie, chubby, tan, likes food, fruit, swimming, climbing up steps and sliding down, loves the playground at pasir ris, enjoys the swing, wouldn't get down, runs alittle, fancy dressing up like wearing shades and hair clips.

Both of them get along great. There are fights, almost every other day, but alot of love in the house too. Nate likes to sit her on his lap and read her stories on good days. When she starts snatching and wanting the thing he's playing with - he gets mad at her. He hasn't done any harm to her, he just weeps silently when I flare out at him for not sharing. But we always remember to make up at the end of the day at his bedside, hugs, kisses, prays.

After co bedding with us for the past 20mths, she started sleeping on her own bed in her room this wk... 3 nights in a row now, and every nap too. She wakes very often, at least 4-5 times overtime, and many times, i felt like giving up, putting her back to our master bed once again, but I perservered. I know for the long term, its for the better gd for us and her. She sleeps fine, and kids adjust quickly! Don't they?

She's a big girl now, ready to venture out on her own, pushing her little blue trolley alongside me when we shop at cold storage, trying to put on her shoes, oh, she feeds herself perfect since 15mths old, left hander...should i correct her?

She can also fix 2 piece puzzles now, shape sorter perfect, speaks mandarin! Identify body parts in both languages... daddie often says she's a genius... she's got a temper though, and we're threaten by it sometimes, teaching her what is right and what's not. She gets the cue.
